In April, Spanish beat smiths Cookin Soul collaborated with Dutch femcee Melodee to release the LP My Tape Deck on the Jakarta Records imprint. MC Melodee delivers her signature smooth flow over some classic boom bap production. The single Think Twice flips Donald Byrd’s classic song to create a smooth delivery of modern jazzy hip hop. They have just released the visuals for the single Think Twice, the video is filmed in Curacao which pays respect to her Caribbean roots. I hope to see more releases from this collaboration.
