I really don’t know how I could’ve missed such a talent, but after hearing Cecile Mclorin Salvant for the first time, I am going to say it, she is a jazz legend. I don’t think I have heard a voice in a long that has been able to transport me to the golden era of vocal jazz. There is no question she will be remembered with the vocal greats like Billie Holiday and Sarah Vaughan. Cecile has released three studio albums with her most recent album For One to Love dropping earlier this month. Don’t sleep and cop this album!
